A flashback look to a Spring Date Night Outfit

Happy Friday everyone 😁 and welcome back to my blog. Like I said in one of my recent posts, I was gone on blog vacation for exactly two months. The last time I was fully active on the blog via published post was here. And my first post back was this one right here. If you are wondering why there are so many posts between, it's because I published them when I got back on active blogging. So, it is safe to say it was not a full blog vacation, it was somewhat a partial one because I was taking pictures and writing blog posts every day while I was away. My blog has become my personal diary and I feel like I have to write something in it everyday. I must say I am addicted to Blogging at this time 😎 The only difference was that I archived my posts in the draft folders while I was away and published them when I got back. So, there is so much to read and catch up on. Just get a snack and a drink and read and browse away.

I'll also like to mention that it was my seventh year blog anniversary in March and I thank God for his faithfulness. This blog is run solely by me with a few sponsored posts here and there and I am so blessed that I have kept it going all these years by God's Grace. So, I might need a good vacation now; a vacation after a vacation, haha! 😀 Whatever you do, learn to take some time to rest every now and then and rejuvenate; the mind and body needs it. And that brings me to this outfit, a date night casual wear that I wore recently. The accessories; sock boots and bag are gifts from my hubby and I kind of suspect that he reads my blog every now and then because a similar bag was on my Holiday Shopping Guide last year  Sock boots were a huge trend last year too and this one my hubs gifted to me is actually glitter sock boots though not so obvious from the pictures. The sweater dress is a bit old and the long gingham coat is even much older (if I can say that! ) hehehe 😂

The long gingham coat, worn previously here on the blog  has been in my closet for years; I purchased it from Arc's Value Village, a thrift and consignment store in my city that I have talked about so much on this blog. And like I always say, a new coat of same quality would set you back hundreds of dollars like this piece here. So, if you want to purchase a good quality pre-owned clothing or accessory, consider consignment stores. So, for this date night look, I needed a long coat to wear over the short sweater dress to balance the proportions and the red bag was thrown in for a pop of color.
